  • Unsalted Butter – the butter will provide an unique smoothness to the sauce.
  • Beef Broth – If using a low-sodium beef broth, season to taste with more salt.

This Salisbury Steak Is Easy To Make

By following a few simple steps, you can create this Keto Salisbury Steak in no time. 

  1. To make the Salisbury steaks, combine the ground beef, almond flour, chopped onion, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Simply mix all of the ingredients until they are well combined. 
  2. Make six spherical “steaks” that resemble burger patties.
  3. In a big pan, heat the oil and fry the hamburger steaks for 2-3 minutes each side, until golden brown. Because the patties continue to cook in the sauce, they don’t need to be fully cooked.
  4. Make the Keto Mushroom Gravy – Remove the steaks from the pan and add additional oil if the pan seems to be dry.
  5. Cook for a few minutes with the onion and garlic before adding the mushrooms.
  6. Pour the beef broth and the rest of the gravy ingredients into the butter after it has melted.
  7. Return the steaks to the gravy and simmer for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  8. Garnish with lots of fresh parsley and serve hot with a dish of creamy cauliflower mash. Enjoy!

  1. If your sauce isn’t thick enough after adding the beef stock, Xanthan Gum is a wonderful way to thicken it up. It will aid in the thickening of the sauce. Start with 1/4 teaspoon and gradually add to 1/2 teaspoon until the sauce achieves the appropriate consistency.
  2. You may use whatever kind of mushroom you choose, as long as you slice them into similar-sized pieces to ensure uniform cooking.

  • 90 percent lean ground beef, 1 pound
  • 1/2 medium finely sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour or 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire
  • 3 teaspoons Mustard dijon

  • Make 7-8 circular patties out of the mixture.

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side of the patties. Keep the patties warm by removing them from the pan.

  • To make the mushroom gravy, sauté the onion and garlic in the same pan until softened.

  • Cook until the mushrooms are browned in the skillet.

  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the butter. Whisk together the gravy ingredients until no lumps are visible.

  • Return the steaks to the pan and simmer for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the beef patties are fully cooked.

  • Suit the gravy and season with salt and pepper to taste.
